Part of the Revolution

Well, we have finally joined the internet revolution. DSL is not available at my house, but we have a cablemodem and we are now online! Yeah, no more dialup. Gee, I'm gonna miss waiting 5 minutes for my email to come up...

So, now we are going to be able to do things in the internet, like download stuff, upload stuff, etc. without it taking half the day.

I guess I have a little catching up to do.

My yard looks nice. Green grass coming in after a cold winter, wild flowers blooming, everything starting to look really colorful. My strawberry plants are in full bloom (that means lots of yummy strawberries!) and my flowering bushes and plants are all about to explode. I spent yesterday using the drop spreader on the lawn with weed and feed and ammonium sulfate to green it up. If it doesn't kill it, it should work. Never done this before. And part of this job was pushing this thing sideways on the slope on the side of our house. Wow, I never imagined it would be so strenuous to push a wheeled trough sideways on a hill. That was quite a workout. But, I figured, if the gardener can do it (and he never shows up when he is supposed to), then so can I. And I can do it when it isn't windy (three days per year), so it won't kill all my flowers in the process. Last time he put the weed and feed on it, all the plants on the perimeter of the lawn died! Let's hope I did a better job.

Looking forward to the girls' birthday party on Sunday. My house is not yet cleaned up. I guess I will do the 24 hour marathon clean the day before....or something. I will never be confused with Martha Stewart!

Hope all you all in cyberspace are doing well. Now that I can get on here faster, I will try to post more often. Plus, I can be on the internet without worrying about anyone trying to call. Isn't High Speed Internet wonderful?
